Well. We started off our 2018 the best way possible. With Stefanie and Joel. And Riley. On a beautiful day. Oh… and there was CONFETTI!
We were lucky enough to shoot Stefanies’ sisters wedding in 2016 and ever since then we have eagerly been waiting for the call that it was finally their turn. I mean, Stefanie and Joel did catch the bouquet and garter that night, so we knew it was bound to happen sooner than later. That’s tradition right?
Well we saw the facebook post, got a call the day after and we were ready to roll. January 12th, 2018 was the day they would say I Do in front of their nearest and dearest. So after a year of planning, a boatload of emails and one super fun dinner at Chili’s – there were alot of margaritas involved 🙂 – it was the big day. They chose the Omni Championsgate for their venue. Which let us tell you is a convention hotel. Which translates to, its HUGE! It was a half mile walk from the main hotel to the ballroom their reception would be taking place in. We can also tell you the walk was well worth it. Take a peek at those chandeliers below. Holy GORGEOUS! From her stunning Hayley Paige ballgown, to her Kate Spade shoes, to Riley literally sleeping while her parents got married, to the playlist, their gorgeous cake, and the surprise confetti – sorry Omni! – it was magical. If that is even the right word. I would say it was perfect. And rightfully so. We were close to Disneyworld. One of Stefanie’s favorite places on the planet. So how could it not how been #everything?
Of course it rained, eh, poured, before the ceremony and then the sun came out. Normal Florida weather. Nothing new. So their first look and ceremony plans were moved indoors. But they never got sad, or angry. They went with the flow and enjoyed each second of the day. Stef and Joel’s personalities compliment the other so well. They both had the best wedding day energy we have ever experienced. Always happy. Never nervous. Beyond excited. And yet so calm knowing they were doing exactly what they were mean to do. Commit themselves to each other in the most beautiful way possible.
We are so lucky to become friends with our couples during the wedding process, but with Stefanie and Joel we already were friends. This wedding was not just capturing from the outside, it was celebrating with them and their families as well. We had so much fun spending time with everyone it really was a surreal experience to say the least. And with all of that, we are forever grateful to the Sprofero and Ely families for welcoming us with open arms and allowing us to spend the day with them. It was a day we will never forget and we cannot wait to see what the future has in store for the Ely’s!
